Take a Personality Test

I am an INP.

INFP (introversion, intuition, feeling, perception) is one of sixteen personality types.  INFPs are one of the rarer types, accounting for about 4-5% of the population.

I’ve heard of the test referred to as the Keirsey Temperament Sorter, the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), and the Jungian personality assessment.   They are all essentially the same thing.

My minor is college was Human Resource Management.  One of my classes dealt with all kinds of personality tests that a company might use.  As a result, I took a lot of cool tests that were supposed to tell me all about me.  None of them did.  I rolled my eyes at most of the results.

Then she passed out the Keirsey Temperament Sorter.  After we got back the results, and I read the description for my type, I was shocked.  It was like the person writing the INFP description KNEW me.

If you would like to find out your personality type, there are several available.  These are two of my favorites.

I usually suggest this one to people, since it’s free:

But you could use this one as well.  It’s only $5.00:

If you do take the test, I would be interested in knowing what you turned out to be, and if you feel it was accurate.

Interestingly, as you keep noting your INFP-ness, from the free test you linked, I came up just now as… INFP.
My last personality test was a rather far cry, as ESFP.
All I know is I’m xxFP.

When i first took the test in college, i was almost solid infp. There was no grey area. After spending 25 years in the corporate world, i am sliding from N to S and from P to J. Still clearly INFP, but the S is getting closer and closer.

  2. INFJ here, apparently. Introversion – 2%, Intuition – 4%, Feeling – 38%, Judging – 24%.

“The INFJ type is believed to be very rare (less than 1 percent of the population) and it has an unusual set of traits. These tendencies are also strengthened by the fact that INFJ personalities have a unique combination of idealism and decisiveness – this means that their creativity and imagination can be directed towards a specific goal. Few other personality types have this trait and this is one of the most important reasons why many INFJs are able to eventually realize their dreams and make a lasting positive impact.”

    I am pretty weird.

  3. I took the test in 1995 and I was INFJ – today INFP.
    Breakdown of preferences: Mind – Introverted (85%), Energy – Intuitive (13%), Nature – Feeling (85%), Tactics – Prospecting (5%), Identity – Assertive (17%).
