I used to be young and thin (photo essay)

I was a skinny kid when I was growing up.

I was a skinny 8th grader

A skinny junior in high school

A skinny senior

A skinny runner

I was skinny when I was trying to look cool

I was skinny when I got my first perm

I was skinny when I started college

I was skinny in my second year

I was skinny with a bad beard, and an grown-out perm

I was thin my last year of track.  I had developed an upper body.

Still had an over-grown perm, though.

Thin hanging with my eventual best man

Thin in my very first interview suit

Thin while practicing my parenting skills with my nephew

Thin at a conference for my first job 

Thin during my first marriage (with my sister and nephew)

Thin early in 1996 after I left my first wife

And thin the Christmas of 1996

And them 1997 happened…
